Our statement of faith

 

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:15–16
  • We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Mark 12:29
  • We believe in the virgin birth of Christ, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, and His ascension.
  • We believe salvation is available through the blood of Jesus Christ. 1 John 5:10; Romans 10:13–15
  • We believe in water baptism by immersion.
  • We believe the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper should be observed regularly. Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26
  • We believe in divine healing through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross. Isaiah 54:4; Matthew 16:17; James 5:13–14
  • We believe in speaking in tongues. Acts 2:4; 10:44–46; 15:8–9
  • We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, who enables believers to live holy lives. Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15–16
  • We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ. Acts 24:15; Luke 14:14; Revelation 19:7–9

 

What we believe

We unequivocally believe in the Holy Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-16), and in one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We confess the virgin birth, vicarious atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, and proclaim salvation exclusively through His shed blood (1 John 5:10, Romans 10:13-15). We uphold water baptism by immersion, the regular observance of the Lord's Supper, divine healing through Christ's redemptive work, and the glorious hope of His Second Coming.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit

Our walk with God is fueled by the Holy Spirit. We believe in speaking in tongues as witnessed in Acts (Acts 2:4, 10:44-46) and in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit who enables every believer to live a holy, righteous life pleasing unto God (Hebrews 12:14, 1 Peter 1:15-16). Through spiritual renewal, believers are equipped to overcome darkness and walk in daily victory.

By advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our local Suitland community and across the world, we strive to bring complete deliverance, healing, and restoration to every soul.
